1st Day of School

Last week marked the first day back to school. Benjamin is now the big brother at Elementary School and you can see how seriously he takes his 3rd grade responsibility to take care of his little 1st grade brother Gideon.

Connett started his first day at Middle School. As you can see from the distance to the picture, neither he nor his Mom thought it would be too cool to have some kid getting his picture taken outside the school on his first day in Junior High. Not a cool tweeny thing to do. Of course, being that he is 2 years from being even a tween, it is hard to remember that sometimes. Despite the grade skip, he seems to be doing great and it very much seems like Mom & Dad are much more worried than he is about him jumping into 6th grade.

Lastly (see bottom photo) Abigail appears to have finally found time to read the newspaper now that her brothers are back in school and out of her hair. I am guessing Mommy is enjoying the quieter house just as much or more than she does.
